Shoot your honey dove

I have a confession to make.
you see, I like guy movies.
and I'm a girl.
now, you may be thinking, "so what? That is so sexist of you to make it some confession or something!"
that's why I am talking about it. And it might interest you.
All of my friends hate guy movies--you know, guns, shooting, car chases, that sort of stuff.
I live in a house surrounded by boys, and so we watch a lot of movies like that.
I love them! They are so exciting, with the action that you don't find in chick flicks.
I think that all girls that like guy movies should start a club, for want of a better word. This is my amazing epiphany. and we should talk about our favorite guy movies (mine is Hot Fuzz) and it would be awesome!
I always get hyped up about cool ideas, though I never really get the done.
maybe i will make a website just for this, but I doubt it, so anyone here reading this who thinks its a good idea should do something about it!
yeah!

feral children hear what no one knows

sorry i have been gone so long, just got a bit of blogger's block.
but I have just had a bit of inspiration!
I was talking to my father last night about this....
it's called the horseradish cheese scale.
It comes from an experience I had when my great aunt took me to meet her friends and they fed us horseradish cheese. I mean, really! They obviously were not good with children. They had none, never have, are really aren't ever gonna.
So, the horseradish cheese scale measures how well you know children, are good with them, and if you would feed them horseradish cheese or not. 1 being the least like to feed someone that nasty stuff, and 10 being he most likely.
it's lots of fun to rate all the grownups and future grownup you know, if only to say horseradish cheese!
++= Now really, what kid in their right mind would want to eat
cheese made out of that?
my sincerest,
Lola bellybutton

Keeping an eye on the world going by my window

There are all sorts of things that I am contemplating at the moment, but here are two Taoist ones that I thought might make people think, because even if you're in your own world, (which you obviously are somewhat in if you are on the computer reading this) you have to look up and see all the other things happening, and this is what I saw, when I looked up.

if you want to be given everything, give everything up.
A little extreme, I know, but maybe if you give a little up, maybe you'll be given a little in return.

to be happy, you must accept yourself as you are.
This is completely right, and so simple, but so many people just don't see what's right in their faces. I'm trying very hard to do exactly this, but it is so hard in the world that we live in today.

I hope these two thoughts carry through with you on your day, your journey (look at me, I'm being philosophical and poetic!) and I hope they will make you think.

the very best,
lola bellybutton

zooropa, a bluer kind of white

well, that was an amazing election.
for anyone who has not seen Obama's A-mazing speech, you better! I couldn't find the video for it on the internet, but if you spend five minutes, you will.
I can't believe I was around to witness history in the making. It's a great feeling, and I'm gonna save the newspaper just like my grandfather did of the kenn
edy assassination(except this is good news!) to show to my grandchildren so they can show it for extra credit when they learn about this in school. I know you have probably heard this a million times already, but I am proud to be an american.
